Past Reviews...Missha (NOT cruelty free) The Style 3D Mascara- 2 stars

Image
MISSHA TESTS EITHER THEIR PRODUCTS OR INGREDIENTS ON ANIMALS AND THEY SELL IN CHINA: AS SUCH I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM. Not that their cosmetics are that great anyways... I needed a mascara and I got this one for $4 (retail $8.99). Brand: Missha Line: The Style (3D) Make-up Type: Mascara Origin: South Korea Tested on Animals: They claim that they do NOT, but they refuse to comply with KARA to prove that they do not. Despite that, they sell in China at a time where testing is mandatory. As such, I will NOT recommend them or buy anything from them in the future. REVIEW:Packaging: No box-plain black stick -same as all of the other The Style line items. Aims for classic, but ends up being boring. 3/5 Scent: non-offensive 4/5 Color: black Texture: feels a little waxy 2/5 Ease of Use: standard Effect: Not great; separates lashes but still gives them that clumpy 'spider legs" look. Later in the day they feel waxy and crumbly to the touch. I was pulling pieces off....

Cosmetics, Skincare and Animal Testing Lies...

Cosmetics, Skincare & Animal Testing Lies... This is kind of a long time coming...but it can be SO hard to find out if Korean cosmetic brands are tested on animals because of the language barrier... There are several sits dedicated to informing you of American and European brands that test on animals...here are some links... LEAPING BUNNY  free cruelty free guide BUAV (ENGLAND)  BUAV's actual list is online and FREE...  Cruelty Free   American Anti-Vivisection Society   Nature Watch (UK) Uncaged (UK)  They require payment for their cruelty free guide and they get it from Nature Watch... KARA Korea  KARA I am NOT including PETA because I do NOT support their  deceptive practices. The woman who runs PETA believes pitbulls should be exterminated from the planet and she supports BSL (bred specific legislation that results in family dogs being snatched from their homes and killed), all feral cats should be killed, believes no animal...

REVIEW: Etude House (not cruelty free) Nail Polish- 2 STARS- Black Milk Tea(BR301), Strawberry Milk(PK003), Pink Ade(PK10)

Image
AmorePacific (parent company) announced they would no longer test on animals, but they refuse to pull out of China ($_$). Thus they cannot be considered cruelty-free. REVIEW: Etude House nail polish -Black Tea Milk (BR301), Strawberry Milk (PK003), Pink Ade (PK10) -2 stars Brand: Etude House Product: Nail Polish Origin: South Korea Tested on Animals: Parent company AmorePacific ended testing in May 2013 but has yet to pull out of China... Color: Black Tea Milk -BR301 Strawberry Milk -PK003 Pink Ade -PK010 Size - 7 ml- pretty  small Color: All 3 are pretty close to what the bottle color is and not watery. The Strawberry Milk (PK003) is kind of sheer and takes a few coats to show up... Thickness: standard, not watery Lastability- the edges chip just like any other nail polish. Very poor. Package: Cute with classic pink tulip tops Overall-  not recommended- I really like the variety of pinks that these come in, but they don't stay on and ...

REVIEW: Etude House (not cruelty free) Rub Me Tender Fog Peeling -1 star

Image
Brand: Etude House Line: Rub Me Tender Make-up Type: peeling spray Origin: South Korea Tested on Animals: Sold in China REVIEW Summary: Price:  12.99 Size: Packaging: green spray bottle with bubbles Scent: n/a Color/Shade: n/a Texture: like water Ease of use: spray and rub, but no peeling... Effect: none noted Lastability: n/a Claim: The verdict: I would never buy this again. It did not peel, it did not moisturize. Useless This was another product bought from the Etude House USA store and another peeling product. This one is a "fog"? In reality, it's just a spray. Not even a mist, but clear with a watery appearance. It's like spraying water on your face, but you only get a bit at a time. You can rub all you want, but you will only get a tiny bit of peeling- 1 or two tiny pieces- and you will have to rub at least 8 times.  By then your face will be red. I did not notice any difference in my skin afterwards. NONE. I would never buy this agai...

REVIEW: Etude House (not cruelty free) Peach Water Gloss - Strawberry Milk- 3 Stars

AmorePacific (parent company) announced they would no longer test on animals, but they refuse to pull out of China ($_$). Thus they cannot be considered cruelty-free. REVIEW: Etude House Peach Water Gloss (Strawberry Milk) Brand: Etude House Parent Company: AmorePacific Line: ? Make-up Type: Lip Gloss (sponge applicator) Origin:  South Korea Tested on Animals: Parent company AmorePacific committed to ending testing in MAy 2013, but has yet to pull out of China. Summary: The packaging is gorgeous, the color is gorgeous, but it's a little too sheer and has not so great coverage and lastability. The purpose of water gloss is to absorb into the lips and feel weightless and moisturized. This didn't happen...Great idea, not so great product quality. Price: $7.99 Size: standard Packaging: Comes with little box - the gloss tube is pretty and has the flower/tulip logo cover. Scent/taste: neutral Color: #2 Strawberry Milk Texture: a little sticky Ease of Use:...

REVIEW: Etude House (not cruelty free) Magic Bubble Peeling (Foam) -2.5 stars

Image
Brand: Etude House Line: Magic Bubble Make-up Type: peeling foam Origin: South Korea Tested on Animals : Sold in China REVIEW Summary: Price:    14.99 (too expensive for the quality) 2/5 Size:  4.06 fl oz or 120 ml 3/5 Packaging:   Purple metal bottle with a nozzle. Art features a fairy/pixie. Not very eye-catching and more feminine than cute or girly. Etude always has a new theme gimmick line. 3/5 Scent:  faint foam smell Color/ Shade:  n/a Texture:  smooth foam turns sticky E ase of use:  Easy to push the button and get foam, but needs to be rubbed in over and over to create a peeling effect. This turns skin red. 2/5 Effect :  Somewhat smooth skin after-wards. Somewhat moisturized. What I would have expected from the failure of Moistful... Lastability: Large can, but alot of foam comes out at once. Not  long-lasting. 2/5 Claim:  The verdict:   I'm done with foam or spray or alternative peel...
